This notice explains how we process personal data when you visit cognivix.com, interact with our pages, or purchase / pre-order our products and services (including AiKit RaaS). It is written for a B2B audience but applies to any individual who interacts with us.

We do not target children and our services are intended for professional use only.
2) What we collect
a) Data you provide
- Contact & inquiry data: name, work email, phone, company, role, message content.
- Commercial data: billing details, VAT/Tax IDs, shipping information, purchase/pre-order records (including $100 pledges), support tickets.
- Account / preference data (if you create one or submit forms): communication preferences, survey responses.
b) Data collected automatically
- Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, operating system, referring URLs, page interactions, timestamps, and basic diagnostics.
- Cookies & similar technologies: described in Section 8.
c) Third-party sources
- Payment providers (e.g., Stripe): limited payment status and identifiers; we do not store full card numbers.
- Service partners (e.g., hosting, analytics, email delivery): operational metadata necessary to run the site and communications.
3) Why we use your data (legal bases)

4) Retention
- Inquiries: up to 12 months after last interaction.
- Contract / billing records: 7–10 years (to satisfy accounting/tax laws).
- Website logs & security data: typically 90 days unless needed longer for investigations.
- Marketing preferences: until you unsubscribe or opt-out.
We delete or anonymize data when no longer needed.
5) Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell personal data. We share only as needed to operate our services:
- Processors / service providers: hosting (WordPress.com/Automattic or equivalent), cloud infrastructure and security, analytics (if enabled), customer support tools, email delivery, and Stripe for payments. These providers are bound by contractual data protection terms.
- Business operations: professional advisers (accounting, legal), auditors.
- Legal and compliance: when required by law or to protect rights, safety, or integrity.
- Corporate transactions: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, subject to appropriate safeguards.
6) International transfers
We operate in the United States with an EU representative in Italy. When transferring personal data from the EEA/UK/Switzerland to countries without an adequacy decision, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and additional technical/organizational measures. 7) Your rights
EU/UK (GDPR)
You can request: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection (including to direct marketing). Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
US (where applicable)
Depending on your state, you may have rights to know/access, correct, delete, and opt out of certain uses (e.g., targeted advertising or “sharing”). We do not sell personal information. We honor browser Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where legally required.
How to exercise rights: email info@cognivix.com. We may need to verify your identity and, where permitted, we may decline requests that are manifestly unfounded or excessive.
Supervisory authority: you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (EU/UK).
8) Cookies and similar technologies
Our site uses:
- Strictly necessary cookies (security, load balancing, session continuity).
- Functional/analytics cookies (only if enabled and where consented): to understand performance and improve content.
- Embedded services (e.g., video players, payment checkouts) may set their own cookies when you interact with them.
Where required by law, we display a cookie banner / preference manager to obtain consent for non-essential cookies and to allow you to change settings at any time. You can also control cookies via your browser settings and the GPCsignal.
9) Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring. No method is 100% secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you and/or regulators as required by law.

13) Service-specific notes (summary)
- Stripe payments: when you proceed to checkout, Stripe acts as a separate controller for certain data required to process your payment. See Stripe’s privacy policy for details.
- Hosting / CMS: the site is hosted on WordPress.com (Automattic) or an equivalent provider acting as our processor.
- Email & communications: if you subscribe or contact us, we may use a processor to send transactional and product emails; each email includes an unsubscribe link.
