- IDT Solution Becomes First Certified Systems Integrator

PRESS RELEASE
IDT Solution Becomes First Certified Systems Integrator for Cognivix AiKit in the US and EU
Partnership pairs Cognivix’s single-demonstration robot teaching with IDT’s open-stack mechatronic cells to bring flexible automation to high-mix manufacturing
SAN FRANCISCO and TURIN, Italy — July 8, 2026 — Cognivix, developer of AiKit, the AI vision system that lets industrial robots learn assembly tasks from a single human demonstration, today announced that IDT Solution has become the first certified systems integrator for AiKit in the United States and the European Union.
Manufacturers are under growing pressure to produce smaller batches, support more product variation, and change over production lines faster. Traditional robotic automation was built for high-volume, stable production: every new task means programming, custom fixtures, and weeks of integration work — costs that often erase the benefit in high-mix environments.
Together, Cognivix and IDT remove that barrier. IDT designs and deploys turnkey mechatronic cells built on open, vendor-neutral architectures with intelligent fixtures; AiKit adds the vision and physical-AI layer that lets an operator re-task a cell by demonstrating the new job once — no code, no reprogramming cycle.
“Certifying our first integrator is the start of how AiKit scales,” said Daniele Bernardini, Co-Founder and CEO of Cognivix. “Our model has always been software economics: we build the AI layer, and expert partners like IDT put it on factory floors. IDT’s open-stack philosophy mirrors ours — no vendor lock-in, no black boxes — and their engineering teams in both the US and Italy mean customers on both continents get local deployment and support from day one.”
“Our customers need cells that adapt as fast as their order book changes,” said Margherita Ferragatta, CEO of IDT Solution. “Our intelligent fixtures already solve part of that equation on the mechanical side — but flexibility in hardware only pays off if the robot can be re-tasked just as quickly. AiKit completes the solution. With AiKit inside our mechatronic cells, a changeover that used to take days of reprogramming becomes an afternoon. That changes the ROI math for automating high-mix production.“
As a certified integrator, IDT’s engineers are trained on AiKit deployment and use the AiKit DevKit to prototype and validate automation tasks offline before production rollout. Certification covers AiKit APIs and integration, simulation-based prototyping on NVIDIA Isaac Sim and first-level support for both USA and EU. The partners are already in discussions with manufacturers in the United States and in Europe for first joint deployments, with additional announcements expected in the coming months. The partnership spans both companies’ transatlantic footprints: Cognivix operates from San Francisco and Pescara, Italy; IDT Solution from Turin, Italy and Chicago. This mirrored presence supports manufacturers reshoring production in the US and modernizing high-mix operations across Europe with local engineering on the ground.
About Cognivix Cognivix Inc. develops AiKit, a zero-integration operating system and retrofit kit that enables industrial robotic arms to learn precise manipulation and assembly tasks from a single human demonstration — no coding required. AiKit runs on standard industrial arms with FANUC and ROS support, combining 3D vision, physical AI, and robot control for high-mix production. Cognivix is a member of the NVIDIA Inception program and collaborates with partners including NTT Data and FANUC. Learn more at cognivix.com.
